Two Styles of Information Windows

In the previous two blogs I talked with you about the Information Window (IW). This IW actually comes in two styles: floating or "normal". The good news is you get to pick which style you prefer.

To make your selection:

  • Choose Tools | Options | General
  • Select Interface

For the Floating IW: check the box Use Floating Information Window. The big advantage of the Floating IW is that you can move it to a secondary monitor if you are using multiple monitors. In other words Libronix can be displayed on one monitor while the IW is on another thereby not taking up space on the primary screen.

For the "normal" IW: uncheck the box Use Floating Information Window. By "normal" I mean the IW will have the typical Windows buttons in the upper right hand corner so you can Minimize, Maximize and Close the Window.

Both types of windows can be resized and repositioned on the screen as well as saved in a Libronix workspace.
