Searching a Biblical Author for Hebrew or Greek Words

If you enjoy working with Strong's numbers you can easily locate all the different Hebrew or Greek words an author used for one of our English words. For example, let's say you want to find all the words Paul used for peace.

  • Choose Search | Bible Search
  • Type peace in the Search box
  • From the Bibles list select KJV or NASB95
  • Set the Range to Paul's Epistles
  • Click Search

A Search Results window opens displaying all of the occurrences of peace in Paul's letters. In the upper right of the Search Results window click Search Analysis By Strong's. Now the results are grouped according to the various Strong's Numbers!

For a definition of the word, you can even single click a Strong's number to open a dictionary!

Comments

Hi! Thanks for all your work and for being constant in showing us how to get the best from our libraries.
I would like to use some of your tips to use it in my blog, but in spanish, but only if you don“t have the spanish version of this blog.
May I have your permission to do it?

When I follow the process above using Bible Search, there is nothing in the right hand corner that says, 'Search Analysis By Strong's'. Any thoughts?

Scott
