Wild Card "*" Search

Libronix supports wildcard searches. One in particular is the "*". In Windows applications the "*" represents any number of characters including zero. Choose Search | Bible Search. Type this is the Search box: faith*. You'll find faith, faithful, faithfully, and faithfulness. Type *faith* to also find unfaithful.

Search for Multiple Phrases

Our identification with Christ is a very important truth in the New Testament. Sometimes Paul says we are in Christ. To locate all the verses with in Christ, execute a phrase search. Choose Search | Bible Search. Type "in Christ" in the Search box. Sometimes however, Paul says we're in Jesus or in Him or in Whom. Different phrases but still describing our identification with Christ. No problem. You can locate all these phrases in one search by using an or phrase search. Simply type this is the Search box: "in Jesus" or "in Him" or "in Whom".

Cycle through Your Open Windows

Imagine your computer screen as your desk, kitchen table, or wherever you study with print books. With Libronix you can open and spread out as many e-books as you like on your e-desk. No doubt, however, the windows will start stacking on top of each other so that you can't see them all at once. To cycle through your open windows to find the one you need just press the keystroke Ctrl + Tab.

Open Multiple Copies of a Book

Did you know you can open multiple copies of the same resource? Click on any open resource so that it's the active window. Choose Window | New Window. Another copy just opened. Now jump to whatever location you desire in the resource. The additional copies do not have to stay in the same place as the original. With this feature you can open multiple copies of your favorite Bible, dictionary or commentary for expanded study.

Footnotes Style

Do you need a specific style for footnotes and bibliography for Libronix resources you've cited in a document? Libronix allows you to choose from various popular styles. Go to Tools | Options | General. When the Options dialog opens select General. Select your desired Citation Style. You've just made your professor or editor very happy.

Selecting the Bibles Used for Pericopes

When you type a Bible reference or keyword in a passage box on an automated report (like the Home Page) a drop down list appears. The list contains pericope titles (or section headings) from your Bibles. Libronix is asking you if you prefer what you typed or one of the pericopes in the list. The reason you have multiple options is because Libronix is reading multiple Bibles. To control the Bibles used in the pericope list choose Tools | Bible Tools. Click Pericope Sets. Select the Bible(s) you prefer.

Make a Bibliography from My Library

Do you need to construct a bibliography for the Libronix resources you've cited in a paper? This may help. Make a list of the Libronix resources you used. One by one in My Library right click on the title of a resource. Select Copy Citation to Clipboard. Go to the program that's producing your bibliography and paste.

Access Information about a Book

Sometimes you'll discover an e-book that you own but are unfamiliar with. No problem. Help is just a click away. Right click on any title in My Library. Select About This Resource. A window opens giving you a brief introduction to the resource.
