Cycling through Topically Indexed Books

Some people fear that technology may make us lazier when it comes to studying the Bible. I've always said though that Libronix can make us better students of the Word. Here's a shortcut to back me up. Open the book The Great Doctrines of the Bible. Take it to the article for justification. Read all you want from this book. You don't have to be through with your study though because your library has a lot more to say about justification. To get to other articles on this subject just press the keystroke Ctrl + Page Up or Page Down to scroll alphabetically through the rest of your resources for information about justification! (By the way, the left and right arrows on the keyboard will do the same thing.)

I knew that trick, but it fell into disuse and was forgotten. Thanks for the tips via blog.

Morris,
Thanks for the tip. It's a great one. I didn't know you could do that. I've used left-arrow & right-arrow to scroll through Bibles and lexicons before but never a topic. One thing to note, the topic index must be selected and not the page index (which mine opened with).

Hi Mo,
Thanks for the tip, this is wonderful!

Thanks for the info. It made the searching so much eaiser.

A word of caution: be sure your 'active index' button is set to 'topic.' I tried Morris' 'justification' example but it did not work. I soon realized my active index was set to 'page number.' Once I switched it to 'topic' it worked great.

I'm trying to clarify which list Logos pulls from when you scroll using the left and right arrow keys. Is it from the list that appears called 'parallel resources'? Can I change the order of that list? I assume it skips books that have no info on that word or topic? How does this differ from Key Linking? If I key link from the ESV - can I scroll left and right - what determines the order of the books that pops up when I scroll using the arrow keys?
