If you own the Daily Study Bible Series commentary by William Barclay you know what an outstanding job he does with history and culture. Normally we use his commentary alongside a passage we’re studying. For example, if we’re researching John 10 we open his commentary on John.

We can, however, also use his commentaries topically. For example, let’s say we’re studying the subject of the Jewish feasts. Barclay has a lot to say about feasts all throughout his works. Here’s how to locate those occurrences.

First, from the Tools menu choose Define Collections and group all of Barclay’s commentaries into a collection. Now open the Topic Browser form the Go menu. Set the in box to your new Barclay collection. Type feast in the Find box. Click Search. Click feasts from the Topics list and you’ll now see all the articles that discuss this subject.

I can not find any work by William Barclay (or barclay for that matter) in either "My Library" or searching at Logos.com. Where can I find the "Daily Study Bible Series"?

Our contract for the "Daily Study Bible Series" expired and was not renewed by the publisher, so it is no longer available for sale. Sorry. But the same tip applies to other commentary series that are tagged with topics, e.g., Word Biblical Commentary and New American Commentary.

i am looking for any comment by Barclay in reference to Sardis of Revelation 3
God Bless

I used to have Barclay's Daily Study Bible as part of my scholars silver set. I got a new computer and reinstalled Logos. Is there any way I can still access Barclay?

Lee, if Barclay was part of your license in the past, you can still access it. Be sure to synchronize your licenses (Tools | Library Management), then use the old Scholar's Silver disc to reinstall the file.

where can I find Barclay's commentaries in software form?

I have used numerous commentaries and have found Barclay's to be the best and most practical. I just wish it was free.
