Tile Your Windows in Order

When you have numerous windows open you can choose Window | Tile Vertically or Horizontally to see all the windows at once. The windows probably won't go in the order you desire so you have to "drag" them around. Instead of dragging, try this little Windows trick. Open three windows and tile them vertically. From left to right, Windows numbers the position of the windows 1, 2, 3. Click on a window. This is the active window. Tile them vertically, noticing the active window goes to the first position. The window that was active before the active window goes to the second position and so on. In light of that you must click on the windows in the inverted order that you want them. Click on the window you want in position 3. Next, click on the one you want in position 2. Now click on the one you in position 1. Tile the windows vertically and they'll be in the "right" order!

Comments

This doesn't seem to work for me - they are always in the same order.
